Dr. Jerold "Action" Jackson is a highly respected American author, public speaker, and radio personality with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. He began his journey in the radio industry after earning a B.A. in telecommunications from Michigan State University, starting as a board operator and eventually becoming a prominent radio show host. Throughout his career, Jackson has been privileged to interview some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Rick James, Drake, TLC, Prince, and Jennifer Lopez. His professional journey has led him to work with some of the country's top radio stations, such as WHYT in Detroit, WENN in Birmingham, The Big D.M. in South Carolina, and KMJK in Kansas City, where he served for an impressive eleven years. Jackson also holds a doctorate in Business Administration from Charter University. Currently, he hosts popular shows on KKND in New Orleans and KNEK (Magic 104.7) in Lafayette, Louisiana. He is also the Operations Manager for ten stations under Cumulus Media across New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. He has been programming Gravity on the Westwood One Network for over 24 years.

 

In addition to his successful radio career, Jackson is a thriving entrepreneur, owning multiple media and marketing ventures, including a marketing and publishing company based in Houston, Texas. In 2011, he co-founded Zone Of Action Coaching (formerly Infinite Blue Ocean) alongside business partners Steve Welter and Bobby Pierce, providing success coaching and business mentorship. Jackson also serves as the host and Cruise Director for the annual Steppers Cruise on Royal Caribbean. He is planning the PMA Allstars Conference in Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico, in mid-2026.

 

Jerold Jackson enjoys a fulfilling personal life with his wife, Erica Regina, a successful entrepreneur who owns Erica Luxe Travel, specializing in luxury and opulent travel experiences.

 

As a passionate public speaker, Jackson engages audiences at up to 20 events yearly, including prestigious international conferences such as the Primerica Conference, the Think and Grow Rich Festival in Lisbon, Portugal, and the Hypnotic Rhythms Conference in Ibiza, Spain. His commitment to philanthropy is evident through his active volunteering and partnerships with organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of America, and Surviving the Odds. A notable example of his charitable work includes raising $19,000 for CASA, an organization supporting domestic violence victims, during a 24-hour live on-air fundraiser in 1994.
