Face Your Problems With Courage
Instead of running away from your problems or constantly searching for ways to avoid them, learn to face them directly.
I recently saw a video of a goose flapping its wings, squawking loudly, and chasing everyone nearby. Most of the adults quickly moved out of the bird’s way. Then a little girl, probably no more than three or four years old, stood her ground. When the goose approached her, she grabbed it firmly by the neck and began scolding it for its behavior.
What a powerful metaphor.
That little girl showed courage while the adults around her were retreating. In that moment, she became the adult in the room.
Life will place all kinds of adversity in your path. You will encounter roadblocks, setbacks, disappointments, and difficult people. Instead of dodging every brick thrown in your direction, become a bricklayer. Use those bricks to build a stronger foundation for success, wealth, health, and happiness.
You may also encounter snakes along the way. Do not panic or allow fear to control your response. Learn how to recognize them, handle them wisely, and continue moving forward.
Some people may tell you that you think too much. They may be wrong. You may simply need time to think things through. Not everyone needs to know your plans, your strategy, or your next move. Become comfortable being quiet, focused, and unbothered.
Like that fearless little girl, there comes a time when you must stop retreating and take control. Grab your problems by the throat, not with anger, but with courage, wisdom, and determination.
Your problems no longer have control over you once you decide to confront them, learn from them, and use them to grow.
Stand firm. Think clearly. Build wisely. Your future is still in your hands.
